Stroke Survivors’ Experiences During Lockdown

As part of stroke awareness month – as well as to reflect the need for us to develop new services during this period of lockdown – Different Strokes has recently developed a number of online initiatives.

Following on from our weekly health & wellbeing talks with Satinder Sanghera, and our daily online exercise classes, we are delighted to introduce new weekly interviews with stroke survivors, talking about how they are coping with lockdown.  These will be pre-recorded and released via this website and our social media channels each Tuesday afternoon.

Next Tuesday we will be showing our staff member Sheelagh in conversation with Pamela, a member of our Carlisle group.  In the meantime and in advance of this, please see a video of Jo and Andy from our Southampton group, discussing how they are coping with lockdown.

To keep up to date with how we’re supporting stroke survivors in the UK keep an eye on the ‘News’ section of our website here.
