Joe survived a stroke at 47. He first noticed a problem when he was informed his speech wasn’t “coming out right”. With no warning this was going to happen he was taken to the hospital by ambulance and told he had a hemorrhage – and one that would usually prove fatal because of where it was in the brain.
After lots of physio, and despite one-sided weakness and problems with his vision he talks about his gradual recovery – with suggestions on and experiences of getting back to work, building back up to full-time work, and how he manages the life changes he’s had to make.
