Sheelagh meets Joy, Ischemic Stroke aged 42
Joy Hadji Alliy had become a successful commercial lawyer in Tanzania with a professional career that spanned almost two decades. One week after celebrating her law firm’s 5th anniversary her life changed dramatically In August 2020 when at 4am one morning she suffered an Ischemic Stroke. After losing the use of the right side of her body and her ability to speak and swallow, Joy was forced to undergo a full system reboot.
