Spring newsletter sponsored by GripAble

Different Strokes is thrilled to have had our Spring newsletter sponsored by GripAble, a smart mobile assessment and training device that connects to an app, to help stroke survivors work on their arm movement and grip strength.

GripAble is used by neurological and orthopaedic therapists in both hospital and community settings, is simple to set up, and allows the user to play specifically designed activities selected by their therapist and to train core hand and arm movements in a fun and engaging way.  Training can be carried out either face-to-face or remotely, something that proved invaluable to many individuals during lockdown.

Austin Willett, CEO of Different Strokes commented, “We’re very happy to have the support of GripAble and very grateful for them sponsoring our recent newsletter.  Through having many conversations with them we know how passionate they are about improving the lives of stroke survivors, and how they want to make the device and technology they have developed as accessible as possible.  We therefore view this very much as a long-term partnership and we look forward to collaborating with them in the months and years to come.”

Dr Paul Rinne, CEO of GripAble said, “We’re delighted to be able to support Different Strokes in its valuable work.  We are dedicated to helping stroke survivors access affordable and engaging rehabilitation to help on their journey to restored hand and upper limb movement and the partnership with Different Strokes is a perfect fit.  We look forward to working with the Different Strokes team over the coming months and years in our shared endeavors to help people reclaim their lives after stroke.”
