Different Strokes is pleased to announce we have developed a new information pack on post-stroke spasticity. With the support of Ipsen, who generously funded this resource, the information pack covers the causes of spasticity, the symptoms and how to recognise spasticity, and how the condition can best be managed.
Austin Willett, CEO of Different Strokes commented ‘We’re delighted to have produced these materials. Spasticity is a condition that affects around 40% of stroke survivors, but not only is it not always recognised or understood, it’s also a condition which isn’t always apparent in the weeks following a stroke and may appear at a later date. It’s therefore essential that stroke survivors have access to information about spasticity and know how they may be best able to manage the condition. We’re very grateful to Ipsen for their support with this, which will be a crucial addition to our information pack materials.’
