London Landmarks Runners Raise £4,869!

On Sunday 3rd April The London Landmarks Half Marathon took place. A 13.1 mile run through Westminster and the City of London passing many famous London landmarks on the way, including Nelson’s Column, The London Eye, and Big Ben.

12,500 runners took part this year and we are delighted to share that more runners represented Different Strokes than in any other year. Eight amazing individuals decided to take on the challenge and show their support for younger stroke survivors and they did an amazing job!

THANK YOU TO OUR INCREDIBLE LONDON LANDMARKS RUNNING TEAM!!

Jo Aurora, Fundraising Manager of Different Strokes said:

“Our team of runners have done us proud, raising a fantastic £4869! The money raised will support our ambitious plans to be able to reach and support more younger stroke survivors than ever in 2022 and beyond.

It was great to hear that some runners achieved personal bests and that a few even indulged in some well-deserved drinks in the pub after! We hope you all had a wonderful day! My special thanks to Dave Merrigan for volunteering his time to provide much-needed encouragement at the cheer station.”
