In the run up to World Stroke Day this Sunday, 29^th October, 2023, Ipsen have released a Neurorehabilitation State of the Nation Report.

Ipsen – who have supported Different Strokes this year through sponsoring our Children’s Resource Packs and our in-person events – have three main aims in this report:

• To define the current state of neurorehabilitation services and what progress has been made in the resumption of services and addressing service backlog post-COVID
• To advocate for greater awareness of and education about post-stroke spasticity and its treatment amongst patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals
• To ensure that post-stroke spasticity is on the national and regional agenda

Featuring a foreword with stroke survivor Amy Callaghan MP, the report discusses the management of individuals with post-stroke spasticity, the impact of Covid-19 on neurorehabilitation services, and the state of current services.  It identifies priority areas for stroke research and makes key policy recommendations.
