“I’m incredibly excited to have joined the team at Different Strokes as an administrator. One of the cornerstones of any thriving community is organisation and the interweaving of all the threads. Perhaps not always the most glamorous aspect, but it’s something I genuinely enjoy! Over the years, I’ve held various roles, all of which demanded the ability to keep track of intricate details while maintaining a broader perspective.

Although my experience with strokes is limited, I understand what it’s like to have your world transformed in an instant due to health issues. Whether in my personal life or in supporting friends and family through their own journeys, I comprehend the value of accessing a community that can assist you in navigating your new normal. That, coupled with the opportunity to apply the skills I’ve acquired throughout my professional life, is what drew me to join the Different Strokes team.

When life undergoes such profound shifts, it can be incredibly challenging to find your way forward. Discovering a community that can provide guidance (and some fun along the way!) is absolutely invaluable. Personally, I find that connecting with individuals who offer accurate information while inspiring you to embrace your new reality is essential.

On a personal note, I am married and reside in Milton Keynes with my husband, son, and our two rabbits – Ruby and Woody. A self-proclaimed food enthusiast, I have a passion for singing, and I always strive to dedicate ample time to my cherished friends and family.

I have several aspirations for my role at Different Strokes, but my primary objective is to contribute to helping individuals realise that while life may have taken a different course, it still holds the potential for fullness and achievement.”
