FREE Webinar: Sleep, Stroke and Recovery

Getting a good night’s sleep on a regular basis is something many stroke survivors struggle with. Sleep deprivation can affect both our mental and physical health and, in turn, can have an impact on stroke recovery.

Sleep problems after stroke can take many different forms. You may find it difficult to fall asleep when you first go to bed, wake during the night and struggle to get back to sleep, or have difficulty staying asleep for a variety of reasons.

Meet Melanie Fleming

In this webinar, Melanie Fleming will talk about some of the common sleep problems experienced by stroke survivors and share advice and practical approaches that may help you improve your sleep.

Melanie Fleming is an Associate Professor and leads the NeuroRehabilitation Research Group in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Oxford. Her research aims to understand how sleep changes following stroke and the impact this can have on recovery. She is also working on projects to develop new ways to improve sleep for stroke survivors, both in hospital and at home.
