When you say ‘stroke’ to most people, the image this creates is of an elderly person and whilst a high percentage of strokes occur in those over 64, at least 1 in 4 strokes happen to someone of working age or younger!  This number is increasing with the total people having strokes aged 20 to 64 increasing by 25% from 1990 to 2010 worldwide!
