Volunteering is the foundation of Different Strokes. It takes a special person to dedicate the precious commodity of time for no financial gain- simply because they want to make a difference to others. Without our community of committed individuals, thousands of families affected by stroke would have faced the long road to recovery alone, un-informed and without the comfort blanket of understanding that our community provides.

It is important for us to celebrate the unsung heroes and the huge impact they have and continue to have. In February we asked our members to nominate a Different Strokes volunteer who had impacted their recovery and we had a fantastic response.
