Different Strokes will continue to support more younger people affected by stroke thanks to a grant from The Freemasons.

The generous grant of £5,000 to Different Strokes will help to support services for stroke survivors across the UK.

Younger stroke is increasing – It’s estimated 25,000 people aged under 65 have a stroke in the UK each year. Many are left with substantial physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. Generally, support services are not geared towards younger people- that’s where Different Strokes come in. Since 1996 they have been helping younger Stroke Survivors to reclaim their lives through active peer support and independent recovery. Delivering support across the UK through online and local support groups, a national helpline, resources and family support.

The grant from The Buckinghamshire Freemasons comes through the Masonic Charitable Foundation, which is funded by Freemasons, their families and friends from across England and Wales.
