Inspirational stroke survivor Sue Sandars, who is in training to compete in Paralympic Archery in the next games and is a long time supporter of Different Strokes recently went to a school local to her, The Richard Pate School, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire to raise awareness of stroke. She said “it was an absolute pleasure to talk to 3-11 year old school children recently regarding stroke in younger people of working age, and to always remember BE FAST, catch ’em young to spread the message”.
Some of the feedback from the day was that “Sue is such an inspirational woman who kept everyone’s attention from start to finish with her amazing story.”
Thank you to Sue for highlighting the important work of Different Strokes in her community and collecting a cheque on our behalf! As a result we will soon be showing our thanks properly for the £100 donation we received as a result of it this week!
