We’re pleased to invite you to our upcoming free webinar, Menopause After Stroke, taking place on Friday 15th May at 11:30am on Zoom.
Menopause is a significant life stage, but for stroke survivors, it can bring additional challenges that are not always well understood or widely discussed. There is currently a lack of clear information and guidance on managing menopause after stroke — and we want to help change that.
This webinar will open up the conversation, providing a supportive space to learn, share and ask questions.
What to expect
You’ll hear from both stroke survivors and a medical professional, offering a mix of lived experience and general advice.
Our panel includes:
Dr Satinder Sanghera – a GP and stroke survivor, who experienced a stroke at the age of 20.
Now a trustee of Different Strokes, Satinder is passionate about raising awareness of women’s health after stroke.
Genise Turnbull – a stroke survivor who had her stroke at 34, and now works as a Family Support Officer at Different Strokes.
She will share her experience of navigating menopause after stroke.
Together, they will explore the realities of menopause after stroke, including how symptoms can overlap with stroke recovery and why experiences can vary so widely.
Your questions matter
We know that everyone’s experience is different, and advice isn’t always one-size-fits-all. That’s why we encourage you to submit questions in advance or ask them during the live session.
Your input will also help shape a future Women’s Health booklet, ensuring it reflects the real concerns and experiences of stroke survivors.
Join us
Whether you are currently going through menopause, approaching it, or supporting someone who is, this webinar is a chance to feel informed, supported and heard.
Our thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund for their support in making these webinars possible.
