Come along to our Stroke Support and Exercise Group in Portsmouth. The group is led by volunteer Diane.
Our Stroke Support and Exercise Group Portsmouth are a friendly and supportive group who offer regular fitness activities for stroke survivors in the Portsmouth area.
The group is run by Volunteer Coordinator Di Summers-Long who won the Different Strokes Peter Shave Volunteer of the Year award in 2019.
The group offers weekly seated exercise and swimming sessions which are held at the Mountbatten Centre.
New members are welcome so if you are a stroke survivor in the Portsmouth area please get in touch. Our Stroke Support and Exercise Group would love to welcome you to our friendly group.

Di Summers Long got involved with the Portsmouth Stroke Support and Exercise Group after her husband Andy had a stroke in 2002.
When the group needed a new volunteer to taking on the running of the group Di didn’t hesitate to take on the role of Group Coordinator.
Di was awarded our ‘Peter Shave Volunteer of the Year’ in 2019. Read more about Di and her award HERE.
