Congratulations to our Paralympic Gold Medallist patron, Megan Giglia!

20160909 megan cycling paralympics

We are overjoyed that our fantastic patron Megan Giglia secured the first gold of the Rio Paralympics 2016 only 3 years after surviving a stroke aged just 27. Megan is such a fantastic beacon of determination and positivity.

Going into Rio my motivation started off originally coming from developing my physical ability again, getting my right side up and moving,” she said.

Then I used it for emotions, to control my emotions and mood swings as I was coming to terms with what had happened to me in the past, having suffered a stroke.  Now my motivation is very much for the team, my teammates, my family and friends. But also every ride I do I dedicate to someone that is maybe in a low moment or just coming out of a rough situation themselves – predominantly stroke survivors but there’s so many people out there and I just feel it gives a little bit of hope.
