Volunteers are the heartbeat of Different Strokes. Many of them are stroke survivors or have been personally touched by stroke, and they choose to turn their experiences into support for others.

This year is extra special as it’s our 30th anniversary! Three decades of supporting stroke survivors and their families wouldn’t have been possible without our volunteers.

We may be a small charity, but thanks to our volunteers, we are MIGHTY!

From running local groups and providing vital telephone support to raising awareness and fundraising, our volunteers are at the very centre of everything we do. Without them, thousands of families would face recovery alone – without the understanding, guidance, and community that Different Strokes provides.
