World Stroke Day 2026
Thursday 29th October 2026
Information Saves Lives
Every year, World Stroke Day gives us an opportunity to raise awareness of stroke, challenge misconceptions and help more people access the information and support they need.
This year, Different Strokes is focusing on a simple but powerful message: Information Saves Lives
Too many people still believe stroke only affects older people. Too many people don’t know the signs of stroke. Too many younger stroke survivors tell us they wish they had known where to turn for support sooner.
The right information at the right time can make a real difference. It can help people recognise the signs of stroke, understand risk factors, access support, and feel less alone during recovery.
That’s why this World Stroke Day, we’re asking our community to help us share information far and wide.
Thank you for your support so far!
We have been overwhelmed by the response to our World Stroke Day 2026 campaign, Information Saves Lives. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, all of our World Stroke Day leaflet packs and event packs have now been allocated.
Unfortunately, due to demand, we are no longer able to accept new orders for physical packs and we’d like to apologise to anyone who has missed out.
The response has far exceeded our expectations and we’re incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm shown by our community.
We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has ordered resources and committed to raising awareness of stroke in their local community. From organising events and information stands to sharing leaflets in GP surgeries, hospitals, workplaces and community venues, your support will help more people access the information they need after stroke.
If you have already placed an order, there’s no need to worry. We will begin sending packs throughout September and will continue dispatching them as quickly as possible.
There's Still Plenty of Time to Get Involved
Even if you haven’t been able to order a physical pack, there are still lots of ways you can support World Stroke Day on 29 October 2026.
