Welcome to Different Strokes
Different Strokes is a stroke charity run by younger stroke survivors for younger stroke survivors.
If you or a close family member has recently had a stroke, we understand that this is a very difficult time for you and we’re here to support you.
Stroke affects everyone differently and we want to provide as much information and as many options for support as possible. We also realise that you may be receiving large amounts of information at the moment, and this might feel overwhelming. On this page, we wanted to keep it simple with a few key messages.
Firstly, if you would like to speak to someone from Different Strokes, please call us on 0345 130 7172. We can provide you with basic information, tell you more about how we can support you, and we can arrange a call with another stroke survivor.
Our Facebook Support Group
We have a highly active Facebook support group, which has over 7,500 members. This is a private group, which is only accessed by stroke survivors and close family members. It is a place where stroke survivors can discuss their concerns and celebrate their successes with each other. It is a place where people can share their experiences and provide and receive emotional support.Â
