Join Us This September for Our Events - Life After Stroke: Identity, Experience and Insight

We’re excited to announce the return of our in-person stroke community events this autumn  and this year, we’re focusing on three words that matter deeply to stroke survivors: identity, experience and insight.

Whether you’re newly adjusting to life after stroke, years into your recovery, or supporting a loved one through theirs — these events are for you! Each day is designed to be safe, friendly and uplifting, offering space for you to reflect, connect and feel understood.

Life after stroke doesn’t look the same for everyone.  You may find yourself feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or isolated. What we know from speaking to thousands of stroke survivors is this: community matters. Feeling heard matters!  Sharing your story and being able to learn from the experiences of others — it matters.

That’s what these get-togethers are all about.

A chance to come together in person, meet people who “just get it”, take part in honest conversations, and hear from others who have been through similar journeys. You don’t need to be an expert or have all the answers — you just need to come as you are. And we’ll do the rest to make you feel welcome.

We would love to see you there.

Dates and Locations:

  • Friday 12 September – Milton Keynes
  • Saturday 20 September – Glasgow
  • Saturday 27 September – Manchester

Each event will run from approximately 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Special Thanks to Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland

We’re delighted to be jointly hosting our Glasgow event with Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.

Their partnership has been invaluable in helping shape a programme that reflects the needs of stroke survivors in Scotland — including local expertise, lived experience, and community-focused support.

A huge thank you to everyone at CHSS for helping us make this day one of connection, insight and shared purpose.

Thank You to Our Event Sponsors

We’re incredibly grateful to our generous sponsors who are helping make this year’s Life After Stroke: Identity, Experience and Insight events possible. Each of our in-person events relies on the support of organisations who share our commitment to improving life after stroke — and we couldn’t do it without them.

Thank you for backing these important days of connection, learning and community. Your support means stroke survivors and their families can come together, share experiences, and access practical support — all in a welcoming, understanding space.

Booking Information

Tickets are £10 per person, which includes lunch and all sessions.

If you require a carer to attend with you, they may do so free of charge, but their place must still be booked in advance.

Spaces are limited, so early booking is advised.

If the cost is a barrier, please get in touch — we want these events to be as accessible as possible.

Let’s explore identity, share experiences and gain insight — together. We can’t wait to welcome you this September!
