We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming webinar, “Returning to Work After a Stroke: Unlocking Support and Access to Work,” taking place on Monday, 16th September at 2 pm BST via Zoom. This event is specifically designed for stroke survivors who are looking to return to work and want to learn more about the support available to them.
We understand that returning to work after a stroke can be a daunting prospect. Many stroke survivors face unique challenges when trying to reintegrate into the workplace. Our webinar aims to provide practical advice and information on the Access to Work scheme – a government programme designed to help people with disabilities or health conditions, including stroke survivors, get back to work or stay in work.
What You’ll Learn
During this webinar, you will learn how the Access to Work scheme can provide tailored support based on your specific needs. This could include assistance with transport, specialised equipment, or personal support in the workplace. Our goal is to help you understand how to access these resources and make your return to work as smooth as possible.
Meet the Speakers
Joanna McCrae
We are thrilled to have Joanna McCrae from PageGroup as our main speaker. Joanna is the Director of DE&I Client Solutions at PageGroup, one of the UK’s leading recruitment companies. With over 17 years of experience in recruitment, Joanna has a deep understanding of workplace diversity and inclusion. She is dedicated to helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and ensuring everyone has the opportunity to thrive in their careers.

Joining Joanna will be Tayler Laycy, a stroke survivor who will share her personal story of returning to work after a stroke. Tayler experienced her stroke at the young age of 23, just three months after the birth of her second child. She will discuss the challenges she faced, how she navigated her way back to work, and the role the Access to Work scheme played in her recovery.
