Stuart’s auntie had a stroke in her thirties and a friends wife in her forties so our charity is close to his heart.
We touched base with Stuart after the event and he said:
“Well, I did it – and I earned every penny, it was physically the hardest thing I’ve done in my life. I’m in bits today!”
His efforts raised over £1000 for Different Strokes which will allow us to continue to provide information and support for younger stroke survivors when they need it most.
Stuart is also Master of “La Belle Sauvage” Masonic lodge in London and has chosen our charity as their charity of the year and will be hosting other events such as ‘Ladies Night’.
Different Strokes recieves no goverment funding we rely entirely on donations and grants to continue the work we do for younger stroke survivors in the UK.
