“On 3rd December 2013, when I was only 18 years old, I had a 1 in 13 million chance of a Spinal Stroke C6 – T2. I was told at Sheffield spinal unit that I was never going to walk again ever.. but that didn’t stop me!
I managed to plant my feet and regain myself from being paralysed at the neck! To being well again. Unfortunately after that I had a TIA in June 2015 and it took me right back. I still live in a wheelchair now full time but I wouldn’t change what happened to me, it has taught me to be self sufficient and completely independent!
I may not have the life of a ‘normal’ 22 year old now but I’m still me. I have a house, a car, a lovely boyfriend and friends who will move mountains to make me apart of days out! I’m happy and healthy that’s all that matters!”
