Give in Memory
Gifts in memory are a positive way to remember someone close to you and make a real difference. By supporting Different Strokes you will be helping to provide peer support to younger stroke survivors reducing the isolation they feel and helping them to reclaim their lives and their families lives after the devastating effects of stroke.
There are various ways that you could commemorate your loved one:
Set up an In Memory online donation page
Create an in memory donation page to help celebrate the life of a loved one whilst making a difference to others. You can set up a dedicated in memory page at Just Giving HERE.
Donate in lieu of flowers
If you wish to remember a loved one by asking family and friends to make a donation in lieu of flowers we would be extremely grateful.
Here is an example of the wording you might wish to include when providing details of the funeral:
“We kindly request donations in lieu of flowers to be given to Different Strokes. There will be a collection at the service or you can send a donation to: Different Strokes, 9 Canon Harnett Court Wolverton Mill, Milton Keynes MK12 5NF, www.differentstrokes.co.uk”
If you have collection money to donate to us or would like to request a collection tin please contact Jo Aurora Jo – Aurora@differentstrokes.co.uk or call 0345 130 7172 or 01908 317618.
Your funeral director will also be able to forward donations on to Different Strokes but they may make a charge for this service.
Organise an event
Some people find that a positive way to remember someone is to do a fundraising event in their honour. Please contact Jo Aurora Jo.Aurora@differentstrokes.co.uk or call 0345 130 7172 or 01908 317618 for more information.
Thank you
Giving in memory of a loved one is a really kind and generous way to help support younger stroke survivors
